PRISMEA SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT

Our services are all developed, hosted, supported and run in the cloud. This removes the requirement for purchasing of hardware for development or clients. Co-hosting systems in the cloud and shared data-centres increases overall efficiency of hardware and power usage, further reducing emissions. We choose to work with Amazon Web Services so that our systems run on at least 80% renewable energy, and reach 100% by 2025. We prioritise cloud-based SaaS software for our day-to-day operational software, so that our daily activities also have reduced emissions in the same way.

By supporting remote working of staff as a default, we enable our teams to reduce their impact by reducing their commute to zero. We also reduce the company’s impact as we do not maintain separate dedicated office space, which would require power for facilities such as lighting, heating, cooling and IT equipment. If office space is required then we use a co-location service called the Wood Centre for Innovation. It is part of the Oxford Trust and has been constructed and operates with the highest green credentials - including solar heating and panel, air-source heat pumps and thermally modified timber resulting in a building that is A-rated for energy.

We are committed to an equal opportunity, safe workplace. All employment decisions are based on merit and business need, and are made irrespective of all protected characteristics, including gender, race, age, sexual orientation and religious beliefs. All employees have a personal responsibility to work in a professional manner and act with dignity and respect at all times.

We are committed meeting, and exceeding, the requirements of the Equality Act 2010, Bribery Act 2010 and Modern Slavery Act 2015 and require the same from our suppliers.

Further to this, our leadership team includes former Civil Servants who have spent years operating under the Civil Service Code of Conduct and use this as a touchstone for many of the company’s policies.
